LED driver improves full-color panel displays

The 16-channel 50-mA constant-current sink TLC5943 LED driver offers an input voltage of up to 17 V. Its integrated enhanced-spectrum PWM improves image quality and reduces flicker noise in monochrome, multicolor, and full-color LED displays, as well as LED signboards and display backlighting.

Each of the channels has an individually adjustable 16-bit (65,536-step) gray-scale PWM brightness control feature with an auto-data refresh and display repeat function. Housed in a 28-pin HSSTOP package or in a 32-pin QFN package, the IC features two error information circuits and a thermal error flag. (From $2 ea/1,000—available now.)
