The LDS8160 LED driver features the LED-Sense temperature compensation engine — which monitors the in-situ temperature on each LED — and the PowerLite current regulator — which ensures a low dropout voltage on each LED channel of typically 25 mV across the full operating current range. The part also features an additional low-power standby mode, where the supply voltage of the device is switched to 1.8 V.
Features include an efficiency of 98% and three 12-bit logarithmic PWM generators. Offered in a 16-pin TQFN package and in a WCSP ball-grid package with 0.4-mm pitch, the part is controlled though a high-speed I2 C interface. (Contact company for pricing and availability.)
