LED drivers deliver high brightness in small spaces

The SFDMD series plug-and-play LED drivers offer enhanced performance for LED-backlit displays used in applications that require a small footprint with high, efficiency (~90%) and brightness stability over a wide input voltage range. These applications include medical patient monitors, POS, kiosks, ATMs, gaming, and GPS.

The 5-mm-high, 70.66 x 24.4-mm-footprint drivers can work over a 3 to 20-V input range and be modified for 3.3, 5, or 12-V input to provide an LED string voltage of up to 38.5 V and drive current of 30 mA for 6 strings. Onboard PWM dimming provides up to 255:1 dimming using an external 0 to 5-V analog control. (About $18 ea / 1,000 — typically available 4 weeks ARO.)
