The 556 series daylight-viewable indicator features a fully-sealed design, making it impervious to dust and water intrusion in compliance with IP66/NEMA 4X standards. The tamperproof device is engineered for outdoor applications including agricultural equipment and transit controls, as well as rail, bus, and airline applications.
Using the same high-impact, UV-stabilized lens material as the standard version, the new version is available with clear polycarbonate lenses (non-tinted, non-diffused) to eliminate the ‘phantom effect’ in outdoor applications, where sunlight gives the appearance of illumination.
