UL introduces a streamlined process for manufacturers to obtain a UL listing for LED surface-mounted tube lamps. Its Classified LED Retrofit Conversion Kit provides a simple process for converting surface-mounted luminaires from fluorescent light source technology to LED light source technology. Through the combination of the UL Listed surface-mounted fluorescent tube lamp luminaire design and the factory installation of the conversion kit, UL eliminates the need to conduct a temperature test on the final product, saving time and money. Columbia Lighting has unveiled a new website and also now offers a free mobile app for both Apple and Android devices. Resources of the redesigned site include: an application gallery with installation images, building information modeling (BIM) files, photometry search, and a link to LitePro 2.0—a comprehensive platform that simplifies the process of comparing multiple lighting systems in the same project by using a variety of interactive tools, reports, and renderings. The LED lighting app suits professionals on the move. The app allows users to quickly toggle through product images, videos, and spec sheets right from their handheld devices. Get a realistic view of products and their applications with an interactive 360-degree panorama view of installations or use the 3-D orbit feature to see every inch and angle of a luminaire.
