LEDs can produce color, brightness needed to replace high-W halogens
XLamp MT-G LEDs can deliver the brightness, color quality, and lighting-class reliability needed to replace halogen bulbs of about 100 W, providing up to 1,670 lm at 85°C junction temperature in warm white (3,000K CCT). In addition to standard, 80-CRI-minimum versions, the LEDs are available with minimum CRIs of 85 and 90 to provide higher-quality color rendition for commercial lighting applications where halogens are typically used, such as in retail shops and restaurants.
Offered in models designed to work with either 6- or 36-V forward voltages to optimize design efficiency, the LEDs are available with either 2- or 4-step color binning in color temperatures ranging from 2,700K to 5,000K. The devices also have wide, 120° viewing angles.
The LEDs are backed by more than 6,000 hours of published IESNA LM-80 lifetime data, which can assist lighting manufacturers with Energy Star qualification. ($6 to $8 — samples available now; prod qty, standard lead times.)
