LEDs have a wide viewing angle

The SLA-560 Series of LEDs have a viewing angle of 40 degrees and a
luminous intensity of up to 1,100 for red and 360 mcd for green, at a
current of 20 mA. Red and green can be combined at a ratio of 1:6 for
yellow. To achieve the high viewing angle/intensity ratio, the LED chip
and reflector cup are placed with an accuracy of 0.2 mm. This gives a high
distribution of radiant energy. The operating voltage is 2.3 V. (Green,
$0.06; Red, $0.125–ea/1,000–8 weeks ARO.) Rohm Corp., Antioch, TN Mike
