Level translator is first for Secure Digital 3.0

Said to be the industry’s first voltage-level translator compliant with the Secure Digital 3.0 standard, the ST6G3244 couples 60-MHz operation with low 300 to 500-µW power dissipation, typical. The 2 x 2-mm BGA25-packaged chip interfaces application processors to SD memory cards and features typical propagation delays of 2.0 to 3.2 ns.

The IC ensures data integrity through balanced propagation delays, electromagnetic-interference filters, and signal conditioning. Recommended for portable devices that connect directly to the external memory card, the chip provides 15-kV air-gap and 8-kV contact electrostatic discharge protection on the card side.
