Leviton Universal Dimmer – White paper summary

The white paper explores the three main causes for the compatibility issues encountered when controlling energy efficient lamps with incandescent dimmers:  (1) Incandescent dimmers are not designed for LED or CFL loads, (2) the lack of industry standards that guide performance requirements, and (3) the existing residential wiring infrastructure limiting performance of modern lighting controls. It will also detail the solutions the industry is currently offering to meet the current technological needs while being mindful of both past and future technological challenges.
