The 3.6-V 1/2AA, 2/3AA, AA, C, D and DD lithium-thionyl chloride cylindrical cell batteries, wafer cells, and battery packs target medical cold-chain applications. They deliver continuous around-the-clock power for 20+ years in temperatures as low as 80C.

The batteries use a nonaqueous electrolyte that can withstand temperatures as low as either –55° or –80°C and suit dataloggers and sensors used to verify consistent temperatures for preserving tissue samples, organs, and pharmaceuticals.
