Light curtains, grids are flexibly configured

OYxxxS series IR safety light curtains and grids can be set up in various ways to establish safety perimeters for machines, robots, or other equipment. Units may be mounted vertically, with corner mirrors to protect areas from several sides, or horizontally along the floor to detect foot traffic.

Available with IEC61496 Type 2 / SIL 2 or Type 4 / SIL 3 safety ratings, curtains consist of pairs of 28 x 30-mm-footprint units in heights from 160 to 1,510 mm. Units can be set apart at minimum intervals of 150 mm and have IR-beam separations of 30, 40, 50, or 90 mm. Light grids are 653, 953, or 1,053 mm high and have two, three, or four beams, respectively. (Curtain pairs from $570; grid pairs, $695 — available now.)
