Light Sensor Chip from Capella Microsystems Extends Battery Life in Portable Products
The CM3612 is an advanced proximity sensor with I2C protocol interface and designed by CMOS process. Offering a convenient controlled method by digital output interface. The digital output signal can improve the noise and signal lag issues. The CM3612 incorporates a photodiode, amplifiers, and analog circuits in a single chip. The best spectral sensitivity for Ambient Light is used to be close to human eyes. The CM3612 has excellent temperature compensation, robust refresh rate setting without any external RC low pass filter. Software shutdown mode is provided which reduces power consumption to be less than 1mW. The CM3612 operating voltage range is from 2.7V to 3.6V, and suitable to detect a wide range of light power environment, the maximum detecting range is to 1K LUX.
