LIN slave enables easy LIN connection of switch modules

The MLX80104 LIN slave integrates the physical layer LIN transceiver, LIN controller, voltage regulator, and application controller, as well as supporting functions like ADC, PWM generation, and high-voltage-capable I/Os. The LIN protocol handler meets all current LIN standards like LIN2.0, LIN2.1, and SAE J2602.

The part draws less than 50 µA of current in sleep mode, and it can wake up via the LIN Bus as well as via connected switches or other wakeup sources. The LIN slave supports switches in matrix as well as single-switch configurations connected to 18 available I/Os. Housed in a 5 x 5-mm QFN package, the IC offers ESD protection.
