Linker-loader combines
multiple sources
The CSi-Link linker/locator for embedded x86 applications supports C/C++
compilers from Borland, MetaWare, Microsoft, and Watcom, as well as assemblers
from Borland and Microsoft. The linker generates OMF386 or OMF86 files for use
with the vendor's Soft-Scope debugger, as well as hexadecimal or binary files
for EPROM programming.
The tool creates 16- and 32-bit protected-mode structures such as GDT, IDT,
LDT, TSS, and page tables. It also packs RAM-based data for ROM storage and
includes source code to unpack data from ROM into RAM at startup. Samples of
ROMable startup code are included. ($795; 15-month support, $200–available
now.)
