Litelfuse to announce winners of Speed2Design engineering contest this week

After extending the entry period of the Speed2Design contest due to the government shutdown, contest hopefuls should be elated to learn that Littelfuse will finally select the winners of its engineering contest either tomorrow or Wednesday this week.

The results of the contest were delayed due to Littelfuse’s parternship with NASA, but the winners will finally be decided this week.
Ten winners will be selected, each one of the most talented up-and-coming engineers the country has to offer. There is no formal announcement of the winners, who will be contacted by phone or email. A list of 10 alternates is also compiled alongside the list of the 10 original winners, if one of the 10 cannot be reached after a certain period.

Due to Littelfuse’s partnership with NASA, the winners will receive a trip to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, which will take place at some point this December, though because the trip’s date was changed due to the shutdown, an actual date has not yet been released.

The lucky 10 engineers will receive a backstage pass into the Space Center’s inner workings, where they will see some of the world’s most sophisticated technology and observe the development of future technological breakthroughs. They will talk with NASA engineers and technicians regarding their own work and projects, and will be able to explore every inch of the Space Center. It is long-awaited prize sure to benefit their future careers extremely, as they will be able to change and develop their own ideas with the help and attention of dedicated NASA experts.
