Lithium battery is cylindrical
A lithium-thionyl-chloride battery, the Keeper II, comes in a
hermetically sealed, stainless steel cylindrical case. It is available in
a 1/2 AA size rated 950 mAh and an AA size rated 1,700 mAh. Nominal
voltage is 3.5 V per cell. The operating temperature range is -40 degrees
to +95 degreesC. The battery is UL recognized and has a 10-year shelf
life. (1/2 AA size, from $3.25 each, depending on quantity–stock.)
