The“Speed2Design” promotion, connected to fiveupcoming races on the 2012 IZOD IndyCar schedule, will bringparticipants behind the scenes for the weekend to spend time withthe team engineers and pit crew behind the Littelfuse co-sponsoredNo. 11 MOUSER ELECTRONICS/GEICO/KV Racing Technology ChevroletDallara driven by IndyCar champion Tony Kanaan.“Speed2Design” participants will be chosen atrandom during the next few months and there’s no cost towinners; a travel voucher, lodging and event expenses will becovered by Littelfuse. The “Speed2Design” eventswill take place during five races between May and September in the2012 IZOD IndyCar series: Indianapolis, IN, (May 27), Fort Worth,TX, (June 9), Qingdao, China (August 19), Sonoma, CA, (August 26)and Fontana, CA. (September 15).
“Speed2Design” was createdby Littelfuse to allow the design community an exclusiveopportunity to meet and talk with race car engineers about some ofthe most demanding and advanced technology in use today. Littelfusewill randomly select five participants who enter the promotion toattend each “Speed2Design” event.
The “Speed2Design” programis a series of weekend activities surrounding the race, creating aunique experience of hands-on activities, interactive presentationsand entertainment. Each weekend will highlight a“TechTalk” presentation just for“Speed2Design” participants to talkface-to-face with the KV Racing team engineers responsible forbuilding and maintaining racing’s premier performancemachines.
“Speed2Design” will allowparticipants to become part of the race environment, with exclusiveaccess to the No. 11 IndyCar. “Speed2Design”participants will visit the team engineering transport, the pit,garage and track areas during practice/qualifying runs along withspending time in the pit box area that controls sensor-related dataacquisition control panels. A variety of race-related hospitalityevents are included and of course, as is reserved grandstandseating for that weekend’s race.
