Logic reaches data rates up to 45 Gbits/s

The HMC850LC3C 28-Gbit/s 1:2 fanout buffer, HMC940LC4B 13-Gbit/s 1:4 fanout buffer, HMC851LC3C 28-Gbit/s XOR/XNOR gate, and HMC844LC4B 45-Gbit/s XOR/XNOR gate are said to be ideal for 40/100 GbE, 40G DQPSK, 100G DP-QPSK, 14G Fiber Channel and Infiniband EDR designs. The fanout buffers feature differential inputs and outputs that are dc coupled and terminated on chip with 50-Ω resistors to ground.

The HMC851LC3C and HMC844LC4B have input signals terminated with 50 Ω to ground on-chip, and may be either ac or dc coupled. The HMC851LC3C exhibits propagation delays of 97 ps, while rise and fall times are less than 15 ps. All four devices operate from a single –3.3-Vdc supply and operate from –40° to 85°C.
