Housed in an 80-ball W-CSP package, the WM1811 audio hub is targeted at MP3 music and video playback in smartphones and other portable devices. The device delivers 100-dB SNR during DAC playback — providing loud and clear voice calls as well as rich audio playback for music and video.
The part integrates a stereo Class D speaker driver, a Class W headphone driver, and the Wolfson ReTune programmable parametric equalizer, which provides speaker compensation in the digital playback paths. In addition, the dynamic range controller can be used in record or playback paths for maintaining a constant signal level, maximizing loudness and protecting speakers against overloading and clipping.
