Low-cost 10/100 PHYs drive cable or fiber

The KSZ8051/8031 low-power small-package single-port 10/100 physical-layer transceivers provide an MII or RMII interface to transmit and receive data over standard CAT-5 UTP cable or fiber. The devices are fully compliant to the IEEE 802.3/802.3u standard.

In 10Base-100 transmit, the devices take 49.8 mA typ, while in power-down mode they need only 2 mA. The ICs take a single 3.3-V supply and have an integrated regulator for core operation at 1.2 V with I/O at 1.8/2.5/3.3 V. They come in LQFP48, QFN32, and QFN24 packages.
