The PIC24HJ12GP201 and GP202 low-cost 40-MIPS 16-bit microcontrollers feature 18- or 28-pin packages as small as 6 x 6 mm. The chips have 12 Kbytes of flash and 1 Kbyte of RAM, 6 or 10 channels of 10- or 12-bit A/D conversion, and two PWM channels, plus one UART, one SPI, and one I2C port.
Designers can remap digital I/O to optimize board layoutenabling smaller boards and less noise. The chips development environment is compatible with all of the company’s 8- and 16-bit MCUs and digital signal controllers. (From $1.99 ea/10,000—available now.)
