Low cost MCU has four 100 MIPS cores

The low cost xCORE XS1-L4A-64 MCU integrates four 32-bit logical processor cores and yields 400 MIPS performance with low 100 ns latency and deterministic response. The cores have single clock-cycle execution (except for divide), and 32 x 32 MAC instructions for DSP, arithmetic, and cryptographic functions.

The chip has 28 general-purpose I/Os and port sampling rates of up to 60 MHz, 32 channels for communication with other cores, 64 Kbytes of SRAM, and 8 Kbytres of OTP for boot code. It comes in commercial or industrial temperature grades in a TQ48 package. ($2.95 ea/100 – production Q2.)
