Low-energy 32-bit MCU features 1 M flash

The EFM32 Giant Gecko microcontroller family feature 64 to 1,024 Kbytes of flash and 32 or 128 Kbytes of RAM. They maintain the low-energy features of previous versions — with 180 µA/MHz at 3 V executing code from flash, 900 nA in deep sleep, 20 nA in shutoff mode, and wake-up time of just 2 µs.

Options include full-speed USB 2.0 host and on-the-go, an 8-channel 1 Msample/s 12-bit A/D converter, a 4 x 40-segment LCD controller, touch control, dual I2C, and a low-energy UART. A 128/256-bit AES accelerator block is also provided. The MCUs are pin and software compatible with existing Gecko devices and come in QFN64, QFP100, and BGA112 packages. (From $2.50 ea/100,000 — samples available 1st qtr 2011.)
