Developed to address low-light-level demands of the notebook/netbook market, the ultrathin (3-mm) OV7739 video conferencing and recording image sensor supports multiple interfaces, including MIPI. The VGA device suits single- and multi-camera apps including gaming.

The 1/7.5-in.-format device delivers 3,300-mV/lx-s performance to enable high-quality video in virtually any lighting condition. It can operate at 30 fps in VGA and 60 fps in QVGA resolution with user control over image quality, format, and output, providing full-frame, subsampled, windowed, or scaled 8-bit/10-bit images in RAW RGB and YUV formats.
