Low PIM cable encompasses 36 connector and length variations

Pasternack has released a new line of cable assemblies that feature low passive intermodulation distortion (PIM) and a plenum-rated SPP-250-LLPL cable. These cable assemblies are being aimed at wireless infrastructure applications such as distributed antenna systems (DAS), indoor wireless systems, multi-carrier communication systems, and PIM testing.

The PIM jumper cables are made with a UL910 plenum-rated SPP-250-LLPL cable and boast a maximum PIM level of –155 dBc. The PIM levels have been fully tested with PIM test results marked on each cable.

The low-PIM cable assemblies are lightweight, flexible, and can operate in a temperature range of –55°C to 125°C. They deliver a maximum operating frequency of 6 GHz and a maximum voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1.25:1 for up to 2 GHz and 1.35:1 for up to 6 GHz.

The cables come with 4.3/10, 7/16 DIN, N, and 4.1/9.5 mini-DIN connector combinations, including right-angle connectors. According to Dan Birch, product manager, these low-PIM cables encompass 36 connector and length variants.
