Low power 16-Mbit SRAM has error correction

The CY62168GE MoBL low power 16 Mbit asynchronous SRAM feature error-correcting code (ECC) for improved data reliability. Soft error rate (SER) performance is better than one error per 10 billion hours of operation.

The MoBL SRAMs automatic power down current is just 3.2 µA typical, 16 µA maximum. Full operation at 22 MHZ takes 36 mA maximum. The device operates over -40° to 85°C and has versions with three supply voltage ranges covering 1.65 to 5.5 V. It has 45 ns or 55 ns access times, 1.0 V data retention, and a 48-ball VFBGA package. Production expected in November.
