Low Power 32-bit MSP432 MCU uses Cortex-M4F

The MSP432 32-bit microcontroller (MSP432P401RIPZ) uses a 48 MHz Cortex-M4F core with 256 Kbytes of flash and 64 Kbytes of RAM and consumes just 95 µA/MHz active mode and 850 nA in standby. It features a 14-bit 1 Ms/s A/D converter and a unique selectable RAM retention feature that provides dedicated power to each of the eight RAM banks.

The MCU rates a best-in-class ULPBench score of 167.4 from EEMBC. The IC has an integrated DC/DC converter, a DSP, a 256-bit AES hardware encryption accelerator, a PWM, and eight serial ports. Supply voltage range is 1.62 to 3.7 V and operating temperature is –40° to 85°C. It is code, register, and peripheral compatible to the MSP430 16-bit device. $3.25 ea/1,000, other versions from $2.15.
