Low-power Cortex-M3 MCUs have 384 K flash

The STM32L151 and STM32L152 32-bit microcontrollers feature ARM Cortex-M3 cores and include devices with 256 and 384 Kbytes of flash. In low-power run mode, they take just 9 μA at 32 kHz. Running at 4 MHz on a 1.2-V supply, the chips take just 720 µA.

The ICs have low power, ultrasafe BOR (brownout reset) with five selectable thresholds, operate from –40° to 85°C at 1.65 to 3.6 V. The also have 4 Kbytes of data EEPROM with ECC, up to 16 Kbytes of RAM, a seven-channel DMA controller, LCD control with step-up converter, a 1-Msample/s A/D converter, two 12-bit D/A converters, 10 timers, and up to eight communication interfaces including USB 2.0. (From $1.60 to $2.81 ea/10,000 — available now and 2nd qtr.)
