Low-power CPLDs fit into tight spaces

The ispMACH 4000ZE family of low-power CPLDs features a 64-ball ucBGA (ultra-chip-scale BGA) 4 x 4-mm package and a 132-ball 6 x 6-mm ucBGA package, taking board space 36% smaller than previously possible. The chips have a typical standby current of 10 µA and operate from a nominal 1.8-V power supply with operation to 1.6 V.

The devices have two I/O banks, each with its own power supply that can be set at the appropriate level to support LVTTL and LVCMOS 3.3-, 2.5-, 1.8-, and 1.5-V outputs. The chips input buffers have programmable thresholds. (From $0.85 ea/high volume available now.)
