Low power FPGA family offers high value

The ECP5 FPGA family (LFE5UM-85)  targets small-cell, microserver, broadband access, and industrial video applications and requires only 0.25 W active power with a single x1 PCIe port. It is said to offer the best value available in a less than 100 K LUT device.

The chips offer 20 to 85 K LUTs in packages as small as a 10 x 10 mm csfBGA256 and have one to four channels of 3 GBit/s SERDES. They operate from 1.1 V with 56 to 208 18-Kbit memory blocks, 1 to 3.7 Mbits of embedded memory, and 194 to 669 Kbits of RAM. Extensive library functions are available, as is a development board and Diamond design software.
