Low-power x86 CPU targets embedded apps

The G-series x86 processor features single or dual cores runniung at 1.6 GHz and a fast graphics processor all while taking just 9 to 18 W TDP. The processor’s five versions target embedded applications and will be available for at least 5 years. The chip has a 64-bit DDR3 SDRAM controller operating at 533 MHz.

The chip’s DirectX 11 support provides super-high graphics performance and stunning 3D visuals. The processor comes in a 19-mm 413-pin micro BGA package. When paired with the A50M I/O controller, the chip supports advanced interfaces such as 6-Gbit/s SATA, Gen 2 PCIe, and HD audio. An A55E hub adds an Gigabit Ethernet MAC and RAID (0/1/5/10) support.
