XP Power announced the AJM90 series of 90 Watt single output external AC-DC power supplies. Meeting the US Department of Energy's new Level VI no load / standby power and active mode efficiency specification, the AJM90 consumes less than 0.21 Watt when no load is connected. The series has a high average efficiency of typically 89%, measured at 25, 50, 75 and 100% load, and exceeds the power supply energy efficiency requirements stipulated by the Level VI specification.
With certification for both the internationally recognised IT and medical safety standards, EN/UL 60950-1 and ANSI/AAMI/EN 60601-1, and offering 2 x MOPP isolation the unit can aid the end product gaining safety approvals. The class II is approved for medical applications only.
