Designed as a direct LED replacement for incandescent bulbs in harsh industrial settings such as oil and gas, food processing, manufacturing plants, pharmaceutical, and mining applications, Vaporgard LED Series luminaires meet NEC and CEC Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D requirements, along with UL and CSA standards, making them safe to use in the most hazardous locations. With a rated life of 50,000 hours, the domeless, low-profile design works in low-mounting, confined spaces where incandescent bulbs are too large.

The vibration-resistant units come in both cool- (5,600K) and warm-white (3,200K) color temperature models, which respectively have efficacies of 64 and 56, CRIs of 65 and 82, and outputs of 1,600 and 1,400 lm — the latter brightness is said to equal a 150-W incandescent bulb in such applications. Both color temperatures are available in 90 to 264/277-Vac and 12 to 24-Vdc versions, and all units consume just 25 W.

Unlike fluorescent lamps, the units light instantly, with no warm-up time even in cold temperatures, and contain no mercury or other hazardous chemicals. Also, ac units can work at ambient temperatures to 55°C. The pendant model measures 8.75 in. in diameter by 4.75 in. in height; compact wall- and ceiling-mount versions are also available.
