LVDS buffers yield best jitter, low power

The DS25BR100, DS25BR110, and DS25BR120 single-channel LVDS buffers provide transmit pre-emphasis and receive equalization for superior signal integrity up to 3.125 Gbits/s. They are said to offer the industry’s best jitter performance (9 ps typ) and lowest power (100 mW).

The 3-mm2 LLP8-packaged devices are optimized for high-speed signal transmission over FR-4 backplanes and cables. The DS25BR100 features two levels of transmit pre-emphasis and receive equalization, suiting it well for use as a repeater, while the BR120 features four levels of pre-emphasis for use as a driver and the DS25BR110 features four levels of equalization for use as a receiver.
