Want to see a magic trick? Take a look at this new iPhone accessory, which somehow makes it look as though your phone is levitating in mid-air:
Developed through a partnership by inventor John Stessel and one of the oldest magic shops in the United States, the Martinka shop based out of New Jerse, the simply named Magic Phone Stand doubles as both a fully functional smartphone charging station and a really cool magic trick. While your iPhone is charging, the stand makes it appear as though it’s just floating in mid-air, indefinitely.
The stand, which was only posted to crowdsourcing site Kickstarter two weeks ago, is already well on its way to being a reality, with $6,000 of its $8,000 goal already raised. Like the iPhone itself, the stand is only available in black or white. As the actual charging cable uses a common mciro USB connector, the stand is compatible with the iPhone 5, 5S, and 5C, as well as the iPhone 4 and 4S and most Android smartphones.
If you don’t want to wait until the Magic Phone Stand is commercially available, you can visit the team’s Kickstarter and donate. The team plans to send their early buyers and supporters their device as early as this September.
