The MAXQ3100 mixed-signal 16-bit RISC microcontroller targets a wide range of data-driven display applications. It includes a digitally trimmable real-time clock (RTC) with a dedicated backup battery pin, an LCD interface that supports up to 160 segments, a frequency-locked loop, two analog comparators, and a digital temperature sensor.
The MQFP80-packaged chip operates at -40 to 85°C, and features 16 Kbytes of EEPROM, 1 Kbyte of SRAM, a watchdog timer, two USARTs, and three timers. The integrated temperature sensor and RTC enable very accurate time keeping, which is critical for applications based on time-of-use events such as electricity tariffs.
