MCU features PID control & memory CRC

The PIC16F1615 8-bit microcontroller offers a 16-bit math accelerator with proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control along with a hardware angular timer. It also has 8 Kwords of flash, 1 Kbytes of SRAM, a zero-crossing detector, a complementary waveform generator, two 10-bit PWMs, an 8-channel 10-bit A/D converter, and an 8-bit D/A converter.

The processor runs at up to 32 MHz, has two 24-bit signal measurement timers, CRC memory scan, four configurable logic cells, three hardware limit timers, and operates from 1.8 to 5.5 V over -40° to 85° or 125°C. Supply current is only 260 µA max at 1.8 V and 4 MHz. There are six devices in this family, priced from $0.53 ea/10,000. Samples available now.
