The MSP430i2041 16-bit microcontroller targets industrial applications with –40° to 105° operation and four 24-bit sigma delta A/D converters with ±0.003% integral non-linearity and 89 db typical SINAD. The MCU operates from 2.2 to 3.6 V and has 32 Kbytes of flash, 1 Kbyte of flash information memory, 2 Kbytes of RAM, and a 16-Bit hardware multiplier.
The IC takes just 275 μA/MHz at 16.384-MHz in active mode and includes a digitally controlled oscillator. Stand-by mode takes 210 µA and RAM retention mode just 70 µA. The IC is available in small TSSOP28 and QFP32 packages. $1.75 ea/1,000. Lower cost versions and an evaluation module are available.
