The SAM9G15, SAM9G25, SAM9G35, SAM9X25, and SAM9X35 microcontrollers use a 400 MHz ARM926EJ-S core with DDR2 and NAND flash external memory controllers. Versions of the MCU have LCD/graphics and resistive touchscreen control, single or dual 10/100 Ethernet MACs, dual CAN ports, and/or a camera interface. They take only 110 mW in full operation.
The devices have a 16-bit PWM, a 10-bit A/D, and a soft POTS modem for connection to a SmartDAA chip. The LCD/touch control has 2D acceleration and a four-layer overlay for background, RGB, dock, and cursor with rotation, scaling, and color conversion. The ICs also have up to three USB ports with transceivers, a dual peripheral bridge, two 8-channel DMA controllers, and an advanced interrupt controller and debug unit.
