MDA provides high-speed testing
MAX2-1000 is a fully integrated manufacturing-defects analyzer (MDA)
consisting of a tester console, 486 PC host computer, and printer. The MDA
requires only a 115-Vac power source and a vacuum line connection for
installation. It incorporates a 1,000:1 guard ratio, 100-mA pin guarding
with six-wire high-speed measurement capability for fast, repeatably
accurate, manufacturing-defects testing of assembled circuit boards.
MAX2's automatic program generation (APG) software uses netlist and
parts-list data downloaded from the user's CAD system to automatically
develop test programs. APG can be done off-line on 386/486 PC-compatible
computers, or on the tester's own PC 486-compatible host. A cable-free
testhead accepts up to 16 four-pin multiple boards for a total capacity of
1,024 pins. Each six-wire pin can function as source, source/sense;
measure, measure/sense; or guard, guard/sense. Full-capacity vacuum valves
and vacuum control are built-in for single well fixture operation; a
dual-well vacuum control option is available. An Quick-Start program
option gets the tester up and operational on the day of installation.
(128-pin base system including a test fixture, $27,955; 64-pin expansion
boards, $1,985; Quick-Start program, $3,500–60 to 90 days ARO.) Digalog
