Designed for high-shock environments in mil/aero and other extreme test applications, single-axis 3991 and triaxial 3993 Series MEMS-based miniature shock accelerometers have a measurement range of ±20,000 g and are among the industry’s smallest, with a minimum size of 2.5 x 1.7 x 0.9 mm in a single-axis, solderball-mounting configuration.
Devices can measure long-duration transient motion as well as fast-rise-time shock events. They incorporate a seismic mass, protective 30,000-g over-range stops, and a full-active piezoresistive Wheatstone bridge to provide dc response capability as well as minimal zero-shift and power consumption.
