MEMS oscillators offer low phase jitter

The DSC21XX I2C and DSC22XX SPI application programmable MEMS oscillators are available in single and dual-output configurations (CMOS, LVPECL, LVDS, and HCSL) with fully programmable output frequencies and drive strength. The parts offer 300-fs rms phase jitter at 156.25 MHz (integrated 200 kHz to 20 MHz) and a 10-ppm frequency accuracy across temperature.

The programmability capability enables real-time clock-rate and drive strength adjustment to test system limits or optimize performance for any application. Housed in a 3.2 x 2.5-mm 14-pin standard plastic package, the devices provide a temperature ranges of up to –55° to 125°C. ($2.25 ea/10,000 — prod qty, 2 weeks)
