Micro connectors have latching feature

The PS1 and SSB series single-row micro connectors feature a micro latching system and suit switching wires from an I/O connector to the printed circuit board. The latching system uses a nickel-plated beryllium copper latch that engages with an audible click, and disconnects at the press of a finger without requiring tools.

The PS1 connector is typically fixed to the PCB using mounting screws, and leads are available in SMT and through hole solder versions. The mating SSB connector has optional soldercups or color coded wire, and attaches to the back of standard I/O connectors. The connectors use a flex pin contact system, withgold-plated contacts spaced at a 1.27-mm pitch. The connectors can carry up to 3 A of power per contact.
