The PIC12F1572 microcontroller from Microchip delivers three 16-bit PWMs (pulse width modulation) with independent timers for applications where high resolution is needed, such as LED lighting, stepper motors, power supplies and other general-purpose applications.
In the past, designers turned to devices with higher pin counts and more memory to support their design requirements, but the PIC12F1572 MCU offers a more efficient option.
The PIC12F1572 is distinguished from other MCUs in Microchip’s 157x family by offering 3.5Kb program flash memory, 256 bytes of SRAM, 6 I/O pins, one comparator, and a pin count of 8, among other unique features. The core independent (16-bit PWMs, complementary waveform generator) and analog (ADCs, comparator and DAC) peripherals can be configured for closed-loop feedback control or for other application needs. Its EUSART (enhanced USART) peripheral enables the communication for applications such as LIN (local interconnect network) applications.
