Suited for digital still/video cameras, Bluetooth headsets, portable recorders, and IP-based telephones, the MAX9814 microphone amplifier integrates automatic gain control (AGC) circuitry that allows the designer to define hold and release times, as well as the output threshold level. This device also features a low-noise preamplifier, variable-gain amplifier (VGA), output amplifier, and an internal low-noise microphone-bias-voltage generator capable of driving most electric condenser microphones.
