On October 22, Microsoft released its Surface 2 tablet in style. To celebrate the launch, the company set up a behemoth Surface 2 tablet in the middle of London’s Trafalgar Square.

Just how big is the tablet?
It’s 27 ft. wide and 17 ft. tall. The best part about the big display: it really works! To get a better idea of just how big it is, check the picture below that displays children playing on its giant keyboard. (That’s right, playing on giant pianos at FAO Schwartz is a thing of the past.) The keyboard and the tablet are hooked up via USB and Micro HDMI. There’s even space around each key for people to walk so they can decide which key to step on.

It took 13 days and a team of 22 workers to construct the giant tablet.
This isn’t the first time Microsoft has made a big spectacle to honor the launch of a new product. In 2011, the company erected a giant Windows Phone in New York City and last year baked a cake made of a table and five surface tablet devices sitting on it.
