Microwave outdoor unit on single-chip is market’s first
Claimed to be the industry’s first, the BCM85810 microwave outdoor unit (ODU) on a chip combines the functionality of up to 10 off-the-shelf chips reducing the size, complexity, production cost and power consumption of microwave radio frequency units (RFUs). The RF SoC is based on a flexible architecture, enabling various types of system architectures such as split-mount (IDU-ODU) and all-outdoor (All-ODU) on a common hardware platform.
The part requires only two variants to cover all standard point-to-point microwave frequency bands and all channel bandwidths (5.9 to 19.7 GHz and 21.2 to 40.5 GHz). Additional features include a wide AGC dynamic range of greater than 70 dB, internal power controls, and a power consumption of only 8 W for tx and rx. (Contact company for pricing available now)
