Military-grade systems use Core2 or Atom CPU
The MilSystem 735 and MilSystem 840 military computers are based on the Atom N270 and Core2 Duo processors, respectively. The long-life-cycle systems are built for maximum reliability in the harshest conditions and feature MIL-STD-D38999 military-grade connectors, fanless cooling, Mini PCI and PCIe buses, and –40° to 75°C operation.
The 840 has up to 4 Gbytes of DDR2 RAM, with a GMA X3100 graphics controller yielding resolutions up to 2,048 x 1,536. The 735 has up to 2 Gbytes of DDR2 and a GMA 950 graphics core. Both support one internal SATA HDD or SDD, one external SATA drive, and CompactFlash, and run on 12 to 25 Vdc. (MilSystem 735, $3,705; MilSystem 840, $4,785 — available now.)
