The Transguard MLV series now includes miniature multilayer varistors in a 0201 case size. Designed for small handheld devices, the mini-MLVs can decrease the chip count on a PCB, while offering 15-, 33- and 50-pF capacitance with a 5.6-V rating.
The devices have multiple-strike capability and can withstand 1,000 strikes at 8 kV of contact. The series also features a sub-1-ns response time to ESD strike, and a leakage current of ≤5 µA at rated voltages. (From $0.005 to $0.024 — stock to 8 weeks ARO.)
