The UMAC series is a large-capacity cylinder-type energy device that delivers an energy harvesting system, quick charge solution, and backup power supply in a miniaturized package. The solution was exhibited Jan. 6–9 at CES 2016 in Las Vegas.
The energy device features an exceptional life span and may also be used as a secondary battery in the same way as a capacitor. This makes it well suited as a power supply for wearable devices or in sensor nodes for wireless sensor networks. It offers a maximum charge/discharge time of 10 C/30 mA at 25°C, an ESR of 800 mΩ, and a charge recovery of 80%, even after 1,500 cycles. For more information: www.murata.com
